I have been a priest for 41 years in the Diocese of Gallup. I’m originally from Massachusetts.God used some weaknesses in my life to get me to move to Gallup. It’s been an enjoyable 41 years.I was recently assigned as pastor to Our Lady of the Snows in Snowflake,Az. The Diocese of Gallup has two counties in Arizona.
I will be installed as pastor by Bishop Wall on Sunday, November 5th at 9:30 AM. (That will be the only Mass that morning)
Hope everyone is ready for Halloween which means All Hallows Eve which, in turn, is the eve of All Saints Day (All Hallows Day). So don’t forget to go to Mass – it’s a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses are: Tuesday at 6 PM in Spanish and Wednesday at 8 AM and 6 PM in English.
We had a wonderful Installation Mass with Bishop Wall yesterday. I am now officially the Pastor of Our Lady of the Snows Parish.
We had a beautiful Mass in Spanish for Healing and Evangelization last night (Sunday). There were about 80 – 90 in attendance from surrounding parishes.
I hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was out of town and had a gret visit with friends.
I know that many are sick with colds or the flu or other illnesses. Know that you are in my prayers and pray for me as I am getting over a cold, myself.
We had a beautiful celebration, last night, for Our Lady of Guadalupe! After Mass we processed to the Community Center with the picture of Our Lady. In the Center, we continued with the dancers dancing in her honor. Of course, you can’t have a celebration without food and we had plenty of that. It was a beautiful night!
Merry Christmas and Happy new Year!
